Position: Worship Leader and/or Director of Student Ministries
Faithpoint, a United Methodist Church in Floyds Knobs, IN, is an eight-year-old contemporary church located just outside New Albany, IN, and across the river from Louisville, KY. Our mission is simple, grounded in Scripture and based on the Great Commission: To make more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ.
Since our beginning in 2004, we’ve sought to do that by creating the kind of church where persons have the opportunity to belong, to believe, and to become all that God created them to be. Our style is contemporary, our congregation is best described as a family, and our pastor’s messages are relevant to people’s lives.
We are searching for one full-time person or two part-time persons with the long-term objective of part-time staff becoming full-time as our ministries grow. The qualified full-time candidate will serve as Worship Leader and Director of Student Ministries. The qualified part-time candidate(s) will serve as Worship Leader or Director of Student Ministries. The requirement and qualifications for each are detailed below.

Specific Requirements
Worship Leader
Lead worship for weekend and special event services. Currently we worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 and our plan is to launch a Saturday night service in early 2012.
Possess strong vocal abilities, proficiency on guitar or piano, and the ability to read music (ability to write and arrange music scores a plus but not required).
Serve as the Team Leader for our worship band, vocalists, and tech crew.
Recruit, audition, and schedule vocalists and instrumentalists.
Listen for and select appropriate music, vocalists, and instrumentalists for worship.
Develop an annual ministry budget to be approved by the Senior Pastor and the Senior Leadership Team and oversee all expenses.
Director of Student Ministries
Demonstrate a calling to and a passion for youth ministry.
Responsible for all student ministries for youth in the 5th through 12th grades.
Develop a comprehensive youth ministry program in keeping with the mission, vision, values and core beliefs of Faithpoint Church that include opportunities for worship, discipleship, service, outreach, and special events.
Review, select, and implement (and possibly create) discipleship resources that direct youth into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, teachers, helpers and sponsors for the ministry.
Develop and maintain an ongoing pastoral relationship with youth and parents of youth.
Develop an annual student ministries budget to be approved by the Senior Pastor and the Senior Leadership Team and oversee all expenses.

Salary
Full-time Worship Leader and Director of Student Ministries: $28,000 to $32,000
Worship Leader: Part-time, weekend worship plus rehearsals - $150.00 to $300.00 per week
Director of Student Ministries: Part-time, 20 hours/week: $12,500 to $15,500 per year
